Flavours of apple, white peach, lemon zest and winter melon. It has an unabashed richness and sensuality in the fruit, balanced by a surprisingly taut and mineral acidity. With a beautifully textured mouthfeel, it complements rich white meat and Asian-inspired dishes.

Winemaking:

Handpicked grapes from the Slanghoek Valley. The Chenin blanc is from registered old vines. Gently pressed into a settling tank for 36 hrs. A component of Chenin blanc was fermented until dry on the skins. Racked into old French Oak where alcoholic and Malolactic fermentation occurs spontaneously. 10 months ageing before bottling. Unfined.

Complex flavors featuring apples and tropicals. The caramel fragrance is unique, to me, as are the blend of grapes. An oaky presence runs throughout this hidden gem

This is fascinating . It’s a big wine. On the nose, there is tropical fruit, oak, smoke, nutty flavors. On the palette, it’s rich and concentrated. There is a wool flavor on the finish, green tea — classic Chenin. Definitely big - buttery. It’s not crazy acidic. The oak, vanilla, almond, comes through quite is strong. I don’t get a ton fruit - some banana, tropical flavors for sure. It’s an interesting wine !

Really interesting and savory wine. Apple and an unexpected amount of oak on the nose; caramel and some vegetal (celery?) notes alongside.

Such an amazing white blend. Easy drinking and such great value. Get it while you can
